hopefully soon

i've been working so much this summer. i really need to get a few paintings varnished and framed so i can take them down to this gallery that wants them. i need to take good photos of them first. i also want to take photos of my work from school last semester and post, because it looks like i haven't been very active in art at all lately. anyway, hopefully i'll get all that soon.

schools starting again soon. i'm going to be getting a studio space, so i hope i will have no excuse not to sit in it and paint all day everyday.

No problem, I really like the crane drawing. It's like, so expressive and beautiful. I'm a -kinda- artist myself and I honestly wish I could possibly get on your level of drawing. I'm sure if I attempted to, I could possibly get something worth someones time. Also, your nude portraits are wonderful, they capture the human body so well. Haha, anyways, enough with my rantings, how are you today?

awe. you're too kind. i used to loathe my drawing abilities. it took me a really long time to loosen up to that point. i think that's what really helped me, trying to loosen up and just work, instead of trying to refine things right away. learning how to make free flowing, confidant marks is a good skill to have. you're so nice!

how long have you been into art?

i'm actually doing alright. i'm finishing up some homework tonight. how are you?

Oh man, I still really don't accept my drawing ability/style. I mean, I like some pictures then others I just want to take a lighter to and burn them to pieces. I have really been into art since I can remember. I always found myself drawing stick figures in 1st and 2nd grade then I finally I guess, "broke out", you could say and started drawing Japanese Anime characters. That started in 3rd grade until now, I was 8 then so about 8 years I have been trying to improve myself, and I must say I have. I wish I kept old drawings so I can show people who say I can't draw that I have improved and what not. I mean, I haven't ever really attempted backgrounds and such, but I have started doing that recently because I used to do them all the time in grade school. I guess hearing from so many people that the actual character in the drawing sucked I stayed asphyxiated on them and just improved in the humans.

How long have you been into art? :3

I'm ok. I have just been so drained from exams recently so I've been trying to take it easy. But when I have to cook and clean for my siblings and boyfriend it's kinda hard to relax. Haha, but I did end up squeezing in a nice 3 hour nap today so it wasn't all that bad. And you?
